This month, over 40 000 pairs of feet will once again pound the pavements in the annual Discovery 702 Walk the Talk race, which is being held on Sunday 28th July at Marks Park Sports Club in Emmarentia. Always popular, this year’s event is set to be bigger than ever before and we invite you to come along and watch the action.

Walking is the most accessible sport in the world and, with the 13th Discovery 702 Walk the Talk race, it is fast becoming the most popular sport for the whole family. Even the four-legged members are welcome to join in!  Putting one foot in front of the other, or should we say, putting your best paw forward, has never been this much fun before.

The Delmont Caldow Caterers team, have been a part of the Discovery 702 Walk the Talk event for the past 5 years and, once again, we’ve been invited to host the Corporate Hospitality Suites. As a premier outdoor catering specialist we are perfectly placed to offer expertise in catering to such prestigious outdoor events as the Discovery 702 Walk the Talk race. Our signature menu offers a delicious assortment of appetizers and entrees as you effortlessly entertain your corporate guests.

For the corporate team race walkers, we have a wide selection of pre- and post-race refreshments on hand. For the corporate team supporters braving the early morning chill, we will be serving piping hot speciality coffees and beverages so you can defrost your fingers around a steaming cappuccino or a racing shot of delicious hot chocolate.

As part of our commitment to making the Discovery 702 Walk the Talk race the best event possible, we look for new ways to exceed expectations. And this year, for the corporate hospitality clients, we have on offer a mobile Smoothie bar that will be serving a healthy Black Cherry and Strawberry Smoothie – a sultry smooth blend of berry, blitzed with yoghurt and ice!

So whether you’ll be rambling along at your own pace, or race-walking to win on cheering on your team, hope to see you at Marks Park on the 28th July, making a difference!
