About Us

Since its inception over 25 years ago and under the leadership of Julian Caldow, Delmont Caldow Caterers has grown from a small family business into one of the largest and most respected specialist banqueting, outdoor and private catering companies in South Africa. We thank Julian Caldow for his dedication and vision in growing DCC into the renowned and respected catering company that it is today.

And it is with great pride that we have taken another step forward in the transformation process. Over the years, our progress has been steady but with the culmination of Black business partners, the leap forward has been significant. Our Black partners exert an influence in the company and reinforce our belief in the significance of role models. Our new partners represent professionals who are committed to excellence and to creating a transformed catering sector.

We recognise the need for broad-based Black Economic Empowerment policies and we believe our company will play a valuable role in helping build a thriving nation.

Delmont Caldow Caterers is divided into 3 stakeholder groups, 20.6% is held by the Maseko Family Trust and 30.4% by the Global Interface both of whom enjoy 100% BEE status with the remaining 49% held by Delmont Caldow Caterers Management.

Keeping abreast of changing trends in a highly competitive and volatile industry has enabled us to strengthen our position as one of the country’s leading off-premise catering firms. The majority of our catering is undertaken for corporate clients, most of whom rank amongst the Top 100 companies.

Edna Maseko (Director) -
Maseko Family Trust

A talented young woman with creative flair, Edna is an asset to our chef team. Having run her own catering company for 7 years, she brings strong business skills and a deep understanding of customer service and is uniquely placed to reinforce our recipe for success. Her energy and enthusiasm simply demonstrate her positive attitude.

Athol Perry – Director, Event Food Services

Athol has gained considerable experience over the years whilst working in the event and catering industry. From running public catering events at the MTN Sundome, Kyalami Racetrack and Expo Centre to the Queen Elizabeth Conference Centre in London as Sales and Marketing Manager.

In 2002 Athol joined Volkswagen Conference Centre as General Manager after Volkswagen South Africa outsourced the Management contract of the Centre to Delmont Caldow Caterers. The Coca-Cola Dome appointed Event Food Services as the sole catering contractor in December 2003 and has renewed their contract with EFS until 2013. Athol has been commissioned with heading up this public catering wing of the company.

Warwick Sagar – Director, Dome Banqueting

Starting a career with the Southern Sun Hotel Group as an In-Service Management Trainee provided Warwick with a keen understanding of the hotel and catering industry.

He quickly worked his way up the ranks and started his own catering company in 1990 after been awarded the TAC contract. After selling his company in 1999, Warwick went onto manage the catering contract at the Inanda Club. In 2002 was appointed as General Manager, Vodaworld Events.

Warwick’s dedicated and professional attitude made him the perfect Special Events Manager during the Cricket World Cup in 2003, catered by Delmont Caldow Caterers.

Dean Martin – Managing Director, Delmont Caldow Caterers

Dean joined Delmont Caldow Caterers in 1995, his enthusiasm and drive to succeed in the catering industry saw him promoted to Banqueting Manager in 1997.

Dean has quickly become an integral part of Delmont Caldow and his ability to adapt and deliver the quality of service that our customers have come to expect from us, has ensured his success within our ranks.

As our Operations Manager for the last 8 years, Dean has proved himself time and time again.
